• 11:30–12:20 – Jade Picking & Leisure Walk by Baibao River (50 min)
• 12:40–13:40 – Lunch in a small town (1 hr)
• 14:00–15:30 – Fenglin Slow Town Tour (1 hr 30 min)
o Option A: Stories of the Small Town (Historic Tobacco Barn, Shrine Tour, Good Eatss, Principal Dream Factory / Independent Bookstore)
• Option B: Songluo Woodpen –Craft a Pen Full of Warmth for Yourself 16:00–17:00 – Matai’an Wetland & DIY Experience (Mochi making or Stone-Boiled Hotpot) (1 hr)
• 18:00 – Return to Hualien City / Hualien Train Station

Stroll along the clear waters of Baibao River, where gentle streams lap against smooth stones shaped by nature. You can quietly bend down to pick a “jade” stone that speaks to you, feeling the gentle gift of time and nature. Free from the hustle and bustle of the city, the journey is accompanied only by the sounds of mountains and flowing water—a serene mini-escape that lets you slow down and connect with your inner self.

Visit Fenglin, the slowest town in Hualien-Taitung, and immerse yourself in stories deeply connected to the land. Option A allows you to wander through historic streets, shrines, and independent bookstores, tracing the town’s cultural heritage. Option B lets you find inspiration in a pinewood cabin at Songluo Woodpen and craft your own unique pen. This experience is more than just sightseeing—it’s a journey of self-reflection and a chance to feel the warmth of the land.

Stroll through a century-old tobacco barn, the remnants of a Japanese-era shrine, and a local peanut shop. Experience the life stories of the principals at the Principal Dream Factory, and enjoy the calm atmosphere of an independent bookstore. This leisurely town walk blends history, cultural creativity, and heartfelt moments.
▲ Option B – Songluo Woodpen – Craft a Pen Full of Warmth for Yourself
Sit in the artisan workshop and carve your own wooden pen by hand. From selecting the wood to sanding and finishing, immerse yourself fully in the process. This pen is more than just a writing tool—it’s a heartfelt creation, leaving a warm and lasting memory of your journey.
▲ Matai’an Wetland & DIY Experience [Mochi Making or Stone-Boiled Hotpot]
Step into the Matai’an Wetland and stroll along the boardwalk, observing ponds, fish, and wetland plants, while appreciating the Pangcah people’s wisdom in living harmoniously with nature. This journey offers not only the tranquility of the natural environment but also hands-on fun. Depending on the group size, you’ll either experience traditional mochi pounding or try cooking a tribal hotpot using heated stones—unique activities that let you explore Indigenous culture through taste and touch.

Tour Information
1. This is a shared-ride tour. Pick-up starts at 10:30 AM from Hualien city B&Bs / hotels along the route, or meet directly at Hualien Bus Terminal.
*Hualien Bus Terminal is about 240 meters from Hualien Train Station. From the East Exit, walk about 3 minutes diagonally to the left.
The exact pick-up time will be confirmed by customer service before 17:00 on the day prior to departure, via the contact information you provide. Please be ready and on time at the designated location.
2. A minimum of 4 participants is required for the tour to operate (excluding infants).
3. The tour is expected to finish around 18:00. We recommend booking trains departing after 18:30. During long weekends or holidays, it is best to book trains departing after 19:00.
4. Inclusions
• Transportation: One-day shuttle service (shared ride)

• Others: Driver-guide service
• Insurance: NT$2.5 million travel liability insurance + NT$200,000 medical coverage
In support of sustainability and environmental protection, travelers are encouraged to bring their own reusable cups to refill drinking water on the bus or at each attraction. Bottled water will not be provided unless necessary.
